Dekalb County was established as the 56th county in Georgia. It was named after Baron Johann de Kolb, a native of Germany. . Dekalb County is located in Georgia's metropolitan area. It is the second largest county in Georgia.  Premier Dekalb County School System currently has about 102,000 students enrolled. Presently, I enjoy substitute teaching and volunteering in several schools located in South Dekalb County.

My name is Yolwana Lawrence. I am a student at Valdosta State University. I am currently enrolled in the Masters of Arts in Special Education: General Curriculum. I currently reside in Stone Mountain, Georgia. For the last few months I have been frequenting Stone Mountain Park. It is very scenic and nice for working out. I enjoy warm weather, beaches, festivals, and live music.

Welcome to my exciting co-taught reading class. I rotate between Kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms to serve students with reading IEP objectives. These co-taught classrooms utilize technology, small groups, and some one-on-one instruction to meet Georgia Professional Standards (GPS).  In my class we have fun reading using audio and visual aids to make reading fun. Using your imagination is essential!! Get ready to challenge yourself!!
