Jumping for Education

Hi and welcome to Renee's page! I hope you all "Leap into Eduaction!" I am Renee Williamson.  I am twenty years old, a full-time student, and I work part-time.  I graduated from Abraham Baldwin AgricuItural College in May 2007 with my Associates of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I am now a junior in my first professional block at Valdosta State University in the Interrelated Special Education/Early Childhood Education Program. Hopefully I will graduate in December of 2008! I am ready to graduate and have a classroom of my own so I can incorporate and share my own individual ideas with the youth of our future!

I was born and raised in the small town of Cairo, Georgia.  Family is very important to me.  I have an older sister, Becky, and a younger sister, LeAnne.  I also have a wonderful boyfriend, Jason whom I have been dating since high school.  October 2nd will be our five year anniversary!  We enjoy doing a lot of things together, especially fishing and riding four-wheelers.  We also have a very spoiled Labrador Retriever named Bo.  I absolutely love to travel.  I have been up and down the Eastern Coast, from Michigan to Florida.  Destin, Florida and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee are two of my favorite places to visit.  I also love photography.  I never go anywhere without a camera, because you never know when a picture moment will arise!  I am also addicted to HGTV, they absolutely have the best shows! Although it is hard to find the time, I love to cuddle up with a good book, especially on rainy days!

Being in my first professional block and having to create lesson plans, I have already found several helpful websites for teacher resources.  Every teacher needs help, whether they are a first year teacher or a veteran teacher.  One website that was recommended to me and I have found very useful is Everything Preschool.  This website was an excellent resource for worksheets, lesson plans, and educational themes.  I also found Scholastic is an awesome resource to find lesson plans.  They have lesson plans available in any subject area for any grade level.
