Hi! My name is Susan Harper.  I live in Douglas, Georgia and am a student at Valdosta State University.  I am currently enrolled as a senior in the Early Childhood and Special Education Department.  I hope to graduate in December of 2009 and look forward to having my own classroom!
In my spare time I enjoy creating my own edible sweets!  My mother and I have a small cake business called, Splendid Cakes.  When I am not baking cakes or studying I find refuge at my church.  I have been a member of Carver Baptist Church in Douglas for most of my life.  One of the activities that I am involved in at my church is Operation Christmas Child.  OCC is ran through an organization called Samaritan's Purse.  Each year they collect shoe boxes that are filled with a copy of God's word, toys and a variety of other items.  These boxes are then distributed to over 100 countries all over the world.  Last year my church was a collection center for our area and we collected over 800 shoe boxes.

I enjoy traveling and finding new places to shop and eat!  One of my favorite cities is Savannah.  This summer I went to Savannah and ate at The Wilkes' House.  It was absolutely the best southern food that I have eaten.
