My name is Rebecca
Arant. I am from Fitzgerald, Georgia and attend Valdosta State University. I
am currently seeking my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
I recently got married and transferred from the State University of
Georgia. I also attended Lee
University in Cleveland, Tennessee. I am currently a part of
Cohort, and attend classes on the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural
campus in Tifton, Georgia. I plan on obtaining my degree within a
year or two.
with being a
VSU student, I am also a paraprofessional at Ben Hill Elementary
School in Fitzgerald, Georgia. I work with many wonderful students
in the third, fourth, and fifth grades. I am gaining much
classroom experience and I am confident this work experience will
help me in a classroom of my own one day.
I married my wonderful husband, Jeremy Arant, this past
summer on July
19th. We currently live in Fitzgerald, Georgia. We are
enjoying married life and look forward to all that life has to
bring. We are active members at the Fitzgerald Church of God and
serve as youth workers for Gamma-Chi
Student Ministries. Besides
working and attending class, I keep busy with my eight month
old nephew, James David. He is my first nephew and is
spoiled! My sister and her husband live right down the street, so
is often convenient for me to baby sit (which I don't mind).
husband is a South
Georgia Native, I however, am not. I am from Sharpsburg, Georgia
which is located in Coweta County.
Sharpsburg is about thirty miles south of Atlanta. Most of my
family and friends are located in Coweta County or the surroundings, so
my husband and I visit often.
