Mickey Mouse holding a book while hugging his dog pluto

Hello, my name is Nikita Stephens, and I am a junior at Valdosta State University. I am majoring in Early Childhood Education in the College of Education. I am from Ellenwood, Georgia. I plan on graduating from VSU in the Fall of 2008. My love for children and my passion to see the generations to come to be more successful citizens has pushed me into the teaching field. My goals for teaching are to have my students excited and ready to come to school everyday.

I love to cook and draw. My favorite cartoon character is Mickey Mouse. I am 20 years old and I still get excited when I see Mickey Mouse on television. I love Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. It is one of the best places in the world to have alot of fun. I love fashion, my favorite clothing store is Old Navy. I've been shopping there since I was in the 7th grade. I also enjoy fantasy shopping at Gucci.

In doing my research for teaching, I have found two interesting websites that I think will help me as well as other teachers. Scholastic is a great place to find lesson plans and activites for your students. If you are a new teacher, the Teacher Survival Guide provides volumes of good information on how to cope with the anxiety for first time teachers.
