WORLD OF EDUCATION
Designed by Whitney Farmer
My name is Whitney
Farmer and I am
twenty three years old. I just moved to Valdosta Georgia, from Waycross
where I lived for twenty three years. I am attending Valdosta
State University and
majoring in Early Childhood
and Special Education.
I plan to
graduate in May of 2010 and begin
teaching. I enjoy
being in the classroom and working with children. I hope to get a
second or third grade class. I used to work at the YMCA as a swim
instructor of second graders.
I really enjoyed teaching children of
that age. Working at the YMCA is what influenced my decision to become
a teacher. I worked with a group of six to seven second graders to
develop swimming skills. The children were so excited to learn and
participate in my activites. I loved coming up with new ideas to keep
them involved. I know that teaching is the only career path for me.
When I'm not in school, I enjoy spending time with
my family and my friends. I am very close to my family and I am very
blessed to have them support me and my goals. My parents have
sacrificed everything for me to be here in Valdosta today, they do
whatever it takes for me to succed.
The newest member of my family is our chihuahua
puppy, Daisy. She is a little dog with a huge personality. We like
to look at other cute chihuahua
puppies on the internet.
