Welcome to Mrs. B's 9th Grade Resource Math Class Webpage at Alexander High School. We are located in Douglasville, Georgia which is in the Douglas County School System. The school first opened its doors for the 1986-1987 school year. We are the Cougars and our school colors are Red and Black.
My Name is Melissa Burkhalter and the
2009-2010 school year will begin my third year as a Special Education
teacher and my first year at Alexander High School. I have lived in
Georgia most of my life and have resided in Douglasville for a
little more than four years. I am married to my best friend and have a
one year old son and a pug dog. My hobbies inlude reading, biking, and
spending time with my family.
The students in my class with be 9th graders who are served in Special Education. They will study Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics. I enjoy learning new ways to help my students and like to utilize websites such as http://ldonline.org. All Math Monkeys are required to learn and have fun!
