A Note About Ms. Jackson
Ms.
Jackson is originally from the Texas Hill Country
, but has lived
in Camden County for the past 10 years. Ms. Jackson received her
Bachelor Degree from Schreiner University
in Kerrville, TX, and then in
2003 attended Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA to
attain her teaching credential and certification. She has
recently (August 2008) received her Master of Education in Special
Education from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA. Ms.
Jackson has three children...all attended Camden Middle School.
When she is not working, she enjoys being with her family, walking one
of her six dogs (yes...that's right...6!), or watching and playing with
her two cockatiels. Ms. Jackson's life is full, and she
loves being a teacher! She does not often take "hard" as an
excuse for not doing something...she prefers to think of "hard" as an
opportunity to grow. Her favorite saying is "Sign your work with
excellence."
Physical Science will take students on the wonderful journey of energy transformation...the forces that are created as energy changes form or direction, and the many ways which humans have learned to harness those forces. The Oxford Illustrated Encyclopedia provides parents and students with a tool to further investigate not only the areas we cover in class, but many other areas in science that may also be of interest. The site contains a listing of many science links with a description of each link and also a rating grade as to how interesting, "readable," and easy to understand the information is that is found on each particular website. Many of the websites that are listed have science activities, easy experiments, or animated cartoons to explain different science topics...take a look, investigate, and have fun!
