My name is Michelle Rardin. I grew up in the small town of Dublin, Georgia. I graduated from Dublin High School in 2007 and came to Valdosta State University. I am majoring in Early Childhood Education in the Early Childhood and Special Education Department. I always loved children so choosing my major was easy.

After coming down to Valdosta, I joined the sorority of Alpha Delta Pi. Last semester I was Scholarship Chair. I decided not to run for another officer position to focus on school. Our philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House, is a place where parents and families can stay while their children or loved ones are in the hospital for an extended period of time. The houses are located near the hospital and are at little to no cost for the families.

I found the website Spelling City, and thought it would be a great resource for students and adults. Teachers or parents can put in the student's spelling words and the website creates fun games using those words. Also, once the teachers puts in the words, the students or parents can access the words from any computer. Another great website is edHelper.com. It has a lot of great tools for reading, writing, math, puzzles and much more.
