Welcome to my home page!  My name is Leeia Stone.  I attend Valdosta State University where I am majoring in Early Childhood Education, a program within the Early Childhood & Special Education Department.  My mother teaches third grade and my father is the principal at the same school where my mother teaches.  I always said that I would never teach because all we ever talk about is school.  However, after I was around school and the students so much, I realized that teaching and school is what I really love.  I think that it's in my blood.  I am so excited about teaching, and I can't wait to have my own classroom!
I hope that you find this website useful, and I hope that you enjoy exploring it!

When I'm not working on "school stuff" I enjoy cooking.  Kraft Foods has a wonderful website.  It is one of my favorites!  Here you can find wonderful recipes, ideas, and tips.  Besides cooking, I enjoy outdoor activities.  Since hunting and fishing are a couple of the activities that I enjoy, fall is my favorite season.  I love being outside in the fall.  The sights, sounds, and smells always bring a smile to my face.

When asked about some of my favorite places, I really didn't have to think too hard.  My favorite place is home.  Home fills me with comfort and always brings me joy.  However, I do enjoy traveling and going to different places.  One of my favorite places to visit is Fernandina Beach, Florida.  My family and I go there every summer.  We always have a wonderful time!  You can find out a little bit about what's going on in Fernandina by exploring the Fernandina Beach News Leader.

As an up-and-coming teacher, I have discovered that teachers are very busy people!  We need fast, easy resources to help us motivate our students and to provide supplemental materials for our curriculum. Even though there are many wonderful resources for teachers, sometimes the fastest of these resources can be found online.  Two great online resources for teachers are Enchanted Learning and ABCTeach.  Here, teachers can find lots of free resources to help them efficiently start the day, end a lesson, keep fast finishers busy, or even manage behavior.  They contain all types of materials from seasonal decorations to academic lessons and worksheets!  I hope that these websites are as helpful and fun for you as they are for me!
