Hey Friends! My name is Melissa Blanton and I am an Early Childhood major at Valdosta State University. I want to be a teacher beacuse I love children, and I want to be a positive role model for my community!  I am also a substitute teacher forValdosta City Schools andLowndes County Schools.  Substitute teaching has been a great experience for me because it is helping me to understand more about what it takes to be a good teacher. One thing you should know about me is that I love to sing!  I enjoy many different types of music. I also enjoy shopping, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. I have developed this educational website to display my work throughout my experiences in the Early Childhood Education Program at VSU.
