Real-World Activity Pretend you are
working as a chef.
You are having to prepare a meal for some very important people. You
will want them to have a balanced meal. They will need something from
each of the basic food groups. To do this activity you will
choose different foods from the cuttings provided and paste them onto
the plates provided. You must make sure you have prepared a balanced
meal.

| Steps for
Real-World Activity 1. As you are
exploring the food
groups website think about the different types of foods you would
eat at dinner.
2. With the magazines clippings provided you should go through and find the different types of foods you like. 3. With the three paper plates provided you will paste the correct foods on each plate. Make sure the meal is balanced. 4. When you have completed the meal give the plate to your teacher. Make sure you are able to identify what is on the plate and be able to explain why you put it on the plate. |
