Hello, my name is Lynnette Fykes. I was born and raised in Thomasville, Georgia. I graduated from Thomas County Central High School in 1997.  I married my husband, Alan Fykes, this past May.  I am a  stepmother to two beautiful little girls, Jaiden-6 and Kendall-3.  I  am a student at Valdosta State University, majoring in  Early Childhood Education. I work part time in sales and enjoy spending time with my family.
Shoes are my specialty. I have been in shoes sales since 2000. I was a shoe retail manager for three years and then when I decided to go back to school, I went to part time sales at Belk in Thomasville.  I realized after three years in retail management, that it was not something I wanted to be doing for the rest of my life.  I love children, they bring much delight to my life, and that is the reason I chose the Education field.

Alan and I have been together a little over three years.  We were just married May 20th of this year.  We had a beautiful cermo
ny at Northwoods Church of God in Thomasville, Georgie.  For our honeymoon, we went to Gatlinberg, Tennessee. We stayed in a beautiful cabin on top of one of the largest mountains.  We were able to do tons of sightseeing and shopping. We went to places like Ripley's Believe it or Not, and the Ripley's Aquarium.  We also did things like virtual rollercoasters and skylifts. We made it a time to remember.

I have the most wonderful and dedicated family.  If it were not for my parents, I would not be attending college. They have been my support and motivation through everything.

I am a true scrapbooker. I scrapbook everything. I have scrapbooked my wedding, vacations we have taken, birthday parties, and so much more. I enjoy scrapbooking because it enables me to keep the precious things in life in a neat and organized way that are presentable to other people.  Some people think I am crazy because I keep restuarant receipts, movie ticket stubs, napkins, and all sorts of strange things to add to the scrapbook that lets me know the places we have been.  Everyone that has had the opportunity to look at my scrap books enjoy them, because through them they can visit all the places we have visited.  I also collect frogs. I don't know what started this with me, but I have all sorts of frog items, from stuffed animals to little knick knacks. When my friends and family go on vacation, they always try and bring me back some sort of frog. I may collect frogs, but I don't like the real ones!
