Pathway

Welcome students, parents, and colleagues! My name is Brooke Moots, and I am a senior at Valdosta State University. I am majoring in Early Childhood and Special Education Department. I have pursued a profession in education because I love the fact that I will be able to make a positive impact on young children's lives.  I was born and raised in Hahira, Georgia, where I still currently live. I am the youngest child of three. Since I am the youngest child of my siblings, I have had the chance to grow up helping their children with schoolwork and school activities. By having the chance to participate in my nieces and nephews lives in a educational way, I feel that I have made a positive impact. My college career started at Georgia Military College (Valdosta Campus), where I received my associates degree in General Studies. Since then I have been at Valdosta persuing my degree in Education.

As a future educator my hope is that parents stay involved in their children's lives. Parents can be involved more assessible now days with all the technology offered to them through the internet. Not only can parents use technology to assist students learning abilities , but it is absolutley nessesary for educators to do so as well. Technology today is created to help students, parents, and educators to provide fun educational experiences, such as educational games and activities.
