My name is Lashonda McElhaney and I'm a resident of Coffee County. I'm the proud parent of 8 year old twin girls Asia and Ariel who attend Indian Creek Elementary. I was a special education paraprofessional for five years before becoming a teacher in 2007. I'm currently working on getting my Master's in Special Education at VSU. In my spare time I enjoy going to church and weddings. My favorite past time is shopping but I've developed a new passion for motorcycles and plan on buying a brand new Honda CBR600RR.

I will be coteaching along with a pair of 8th grade math and language arts teachers. I will also monitor the students progress and grades in other subjects as well. As coteachers we will ensure that each student be given the best opportunity to learn in a fun and effective way. We will be using lots of technology to assist in both math and language arts to incoperate an exciting learning process that allows every student to participate actively.
