Pathway to Graduation: Exploring Careers, Lesson 1 of 4
This Integrating Technology eBook was designed & developed
for students at Gladden Middle School
This lesson is
the first in a total of four lessons designed to help you choose a
possible career to make school more relevant to your future goals. In
the first two lessons, you will research Georgia's eight career
clusters. In the third lesson, you will apply what you have learned
from these activities by completing a brief research activity where you
will determine education and skills needed to succeed after graduation
from high school. In the fourth lesson, we will begin your Peachstate
Pathways career plan and portfolio.
Standard:
MSCA6-1 - Students will understand the personal nature of work and how
it relates to them as individuals and as integral parts of society.c) Determine viable career options
d) Investigate and describe Georgia’s Career Program Concentrations and Pathways
PLO: Students will research four Georgia career clusters and identify at least one possible career choice from these career clusters. Students will apply what they learned by completing an activity designed to enhance awareness of Georgia's Career Program Concentrations.
