Several flip flops in pink, orange and yellow

My name is Kelsey Case and I am 22 years old and from Suwanee, Georgia.  I have lived in Suwanee for most of my life but I have also lived in Oklahoma and Texas for brief periods of time.  I am currently a junior in my second professional block at Valdosta State University in the Interrelated Special Education/Early Childhood Education program.  I plan to graduate in May of 2008, when I will then start my master's program.

One of my passions in life is softball.  I have played since I was four years old and have had the privilege of pursuing a dream of mine by playing softball in college.  I played shortstop and second base at a junior college in Atlanta for two years and now play second base for the Valdosta State softball team.  After I finish my four years of eligibility for playing, I will continue at Valdosta State as a graduate assistant coach.  I hope to one day also be able to coach at a competitive level as a head coach somewhere.

My family is very important to me and includes my mother and father, two younger brothers and a younger sister.  One of my brothers Kyler, is 20 years old and a sophomore at Kennesaw State University and the other is a 17 year old, junior at Buford High School in Buford, Georgia.  My little sister is 13 years old and a 7th grader at Buford Middle School.   My siblings all play sports including softball, basketball, track and football.  Football is a big part of our lives, watching my brothers play as well as rooting on our favorite Oklahoma Sooners.

Two resources that teachers could use that I have found useful include the Scholastic website and The Learning Page.  Both of these websites include ways to incorporate new ideas for ways to teach specific topics as well as helpful lesson plans.  They are also good to keep you updated on whats happening in education.
