Hello! My name is Kayla Lear and I am a Junior at Valdosta State University. I am majoring in Early Childhood/ Special Education in the Early Childhood and Special Education Department. I hope to teach children with severe and profound disabilities after I graduate. I have always had a desire to work with children and hope that I can positively impact their lives.

I am twenty years old and I am from all over the United States including Nevada, California and Georgia. I graduated from Roswell High School in 2007 and immediately began my undergraduate at Valdosta State. During high school I was captain of both the varsity Volleyball and Basketball teams at my school. I also played on a travel basketball team called the Georgia Pistols during the off season all throughout high school and middle school. Playing on these teams are some of the best memories and years of my life.

Helpful Links for Teachers and Parents!

I have found two websites that have amazing resources for both parents and teachers. The Scholastic Webpage has many fun and interesting activities and also has some games for the students to play. Another website that is useful is Teacher Tube. These sites are very easy to use and I would suggest that parent and teachers alike should check them out.
