Home is...Whatever You Make It

After taking my time to get my Associate Degree, I have finally transferred to Valdosta State University. I am currently enrolled in the first professional semester of the Early Childhood Education program.
My husband and I have a little boy who is two and a half years old. We recently took custody of our 1 year old niece. Although it has been somewhat of a struggle with her mother, I would not trade anything in the world to give this precious child a chance at a structured life. The two children have adjusted well to the situation and now everyone we meet thinks they are siblings.
During my spare time, I enjoy scrapbooking. Within the past couple of months, I began experimenting with digital scrapbooking and it has been a blast. It doesn't take as long to create a page because you do not have to worry about buying all the supplies, having somewhere to store them, or even taking the time to pull them out and put them all back up. My favorite page for finding digital scrapbook elements is
Shabby Princess.
I also like to work on genealogy. Finding out who my ancestors are and what they did is fascinating to me. It is easy to find large amounts of information on genealogy at
www.familysearch.org. This website is created by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and provides the proper forms to use as well as a search engine for locating the names and dates associated with your ancestors.
