Bloom Into Education

Pink Daisy

My name is Krista Bostick and I am twenty years old. I was born in Warner Robins, GA and have lived in Perry, GA ever since. I graduated from Perry High School in May of 2006 and now I am a junior at
Valdosta State University and I absolutely love it! I could not ask for a better or prettier school to attend. My major is Early Childhood Education and I am so excited now that I have started my major courses! I started in Valdosta as a biology major and when I decided to change my major I knew I had made one of the best decisions in my life. I have a huge passion for children and I want to be the teacher that they remember forever because I made a difference in their lives. I will be graduating in May of 2010 and my plans after graduation are to obtain my master's degree and then move back to Perry to teach.

One place that I would love to live is Gatlinburg, Tennessee; or at least in a town close by. Almost ever year my family and I travel there for either Christmas or Thanksgiving. I love cold weather and since it is not very cold in Perry or Valdosta I look forward to Tennessee every year. When I am in Gatlinburg I love to go ice skating and go shopping all along the streets. Another thing that I enjoy is where we stay when we are there. We rent a cabin and my parents, my aunt, and my grandparents all stay there and it is really fun because I get to spend so much time with family that I do not get to see that much. Below is a picture of my whole family in the cabin as well as a picture of my best friend Britney and I when it was snowing.

Another thing that I really enjoy comes every year during the month of October. It is the Georgia National Fair. I have lived in Perry my whole life so it has kind of become a tradition to go to the fair. That being said, I make sure I make a point to go even though I live in Valdosta now. It is so much fun because I get to visit friends that I have not seen in a long time as well as I get to see my family. There are fun rides at the fair, good food, and fun concerts. Last year I went with my family and friends to the Chris Daughtry concert and it was so much fun! I think it is really cool how something so big and so fun can come to such a small town as Perry, GA. Below is a picture of my friends and myself at the fair.

One last thing that I enjoy doing is going on cruises. I have been on 3 in all and each one is better than the last. They are so much fun and very relaxing. I went on a cruise last summer and it was so much fun! The ship that I was on was through Carnival Cruise Lines. They had shows almost every night and the shopping in the Bahamas was great! Below is a picture of my parents, my friend Britney, and myself from the captain's dinner which we attended on the cruise.

Lastly, I want to mention my parents. They have supported me through everything and they are my rock to lean on whenever I am in trouble. They are definitely the best parents in the world and I love them with all of my heart. When I was a kid my mom always told me that I could do anything I wanted if I just put my mind to it. My parents supported me when I was younger and they are continuing to do so as I have grown older.
