Fast Paced Education

My name is Kenneth Floyd, but I go by Joey.  I am currently a junior at Valdosta State University and I am also in my 2nd block of the Early Childhood/Special Education Program.  I was born and raised in the small town of Willacoochee, Georgia.  I graduated from Atkinson County High School in 2006 where I played baseball and participated in FFA and BETA club.  I graduated from South Georgia College in 2009 with an Associates of Science in Special Education.

I am a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan.  I have been a fan for as long as I can remember.  Any chance I get I am watching Crimson Tide sports, especially baseball and football.  This year my patience has been rewarded as we won a National Championship for the first time since 1992 and our 13th overall National Title.    When I graduate Valdosta State University, it is my dream to get in a online program at the school to get a specialist or doctorate degree and get to graduate in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Included here are two links that I have found very educational, as I  have used them myself.  These websites proved very useful as they both gave me ideas for lesson plans and the different subjects you could teach these lessons with.  The first link takes a more creative approach by using more arts and crafts in the lessons.  The next link focuses on different themes that could be used to create lessons for different content area.  By exploring these links, you as a parent or guardian can come up with some of your own unique ideas to help your child learn at home as well.
