Hello, my name is Janet Hasenfelt (my friends call me Jan) and I am a junior at Valdosta State University.  I am currently working on my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Reading Education.  When I graduate I hope to teach second grade.
I live in Quitman, GA with my husband Tim, who I have been married to for almost 23 years.  We have two children, a 20-year-old son, Robert, and 18-year-old daughter, Farran.  Robert plays Division 1 baseball on a scholarship at Georgia State University and watching him play is a true joy in my life.  Farran is a marketing major here at VSU and plans to transfer to NYU next year.   It is a bright spot in my day when I see her on campus!
Tim and I are from upstate New York, near Niagara Falls. When we  go back north to visit we usually go to the Falls and then drive over to Canada for a day or two.   The winters up north are very cold with plenty of snow so you spend alot of time ice skating and building snowmen.
Today I am an avid baseball fan and love to watch the Atlanta Braves and the Boston Red Sox.  Whenever the Braves are in town, and all four of us can get together, we  go watch the game, get dinner, and catch up on all that is going on.
