My name is Julie Johnson.  I am an Early Childhood Education major at Valdosta State University.  I am a junior here at Valdosta State.
I will graduate in December of 2007 and begin my teaching career.  I am really excited about teaching small children.  I love little kids.

Family

I am from Lumber City, GA.  It is a very small town that is located about two hours north of Valdosta.  Something that is unique about me is that I have a twin sister.  She is also an Early Childhood Education major.  I also have a little brother who is ten years old.  I love to spoil him.  I have never traveled too far out of Georgia.  If I could go anywhere else in the world I would like to visit Tahiti.  The pictures of the beaches are beautiful.  I would sit out on the beach and read all day long.

The web is a great resource for teachers to use to find ideas for their classrooms.  I found two very helpful resources for early childhood teachers to use.  One website was by PBS.  This website allows you to select different topics and subjects and get ideas and activities to use with the lesson.  The other website was A to Z Teacher Stuff.  This offered different ideas for activities dealing with holidays.  It also offered lesson plans, thematic units, and downloadable teaching materials.
