This is
the story of a very hungry caterpillar. The caterpillar starts his life
as an egg settled on a leaf in the moonlight. As the sun arose on
the begining of the next day, his journey as a caterpillar began! The
first thing he noticed, was his tummy growling.
He was so hungry, so he began to look
for food. He ate through an apple,
two pears, three plums, four strawberries, five oranges, and everything
from chocolate cake to watermeon! He ate so much, but he was still
hungry. It seemed as though he would never get enough food into his
belly!
Finally, after eating through a green leaf, he was full! After
that, he realized he was not so little anymore. He was now a big fat
caterpiller! Becoming tired, he built himself a cocoon and went to
sleep. Then, after a good rest, he made his way out of his cacoon and
discovered that he had become a beautiful butterfly!
