I am a Special Education Teacher at Ware County High School in Ware County, GA, Home of "The Gators." I teach in the Time Academy. Ware County High has over 1400 students. WCHS is the largest school in the largest community in the largest county of the largest state East of the Mississippi. Waycross is known as the "Gateway to the Okefenokee Swamp." 

I work with teachers and students in different subject areas, but I specialize in English Language Arts. I feel strongly that the world is a better place when the people living on it can communicate better with each other. My goal as a teacher is to help my students better understand the world around them and to better express themselves.

I have included information on this website about some of the challenges students I work with face -- ranging from linear algebra and poetry to autism. I hope you find it helpful. If you know of other resources that you feel would be a benefit to others, please contact me. New information becomes available constantly and I would love to hear what has worked for you.

Biography:

My undergraduate education is in Political Science and English (B.A. Amherst College) and I am currently pursuing a Masters' Degree in Special Education from Valdosta State University. I am proud to be a product of the Georgia public schools system and an adopted Gator. I love being able to spend time outside camping, canoeing and gardening. I enjoy reading and cooking.
