Hi, my name is Jennifer Johnson, I am from Lumber City, Georgia.  I am in my first professional block at Valdosta State University, majoring in Early Childhood Education.  I enjoy being around children and I love to see the look in a child's eyes when they learn something new.  I will graduate from Valdosta State in December 2008.  After graduation I plan to continue my education and obtain my masters in Early Childhood Education.

I have a twin sister whose name is Julie, and a brother, Ryan, who is twelve years younger than my sister and me.  I am engaged to my boyfriend, Derick, of five years.  I have a wonderful roomate named Brittney who is also majoring in education.  I am really blessed to have wonderful parents and a wonderful family.

I have been on two cruises.  The first cruise I went on was to the Bahamas with Royal Caribbean cruise lines.  The second cruise I went on was to Mexico with Carnival cruise lines.  I like to travel even though I do not get to travel very often.  I have always wanted to visit New York, and I can not wait to go there one day.  Another place I want to visit is Jamaica.

Teachers can find great resources to use in their classrooms on the web.  One site that I found to be helpful is Scholastic.  It has great ideas to use in the classroom.  The other site is PBS.  This site has a wide range of activites for all ages.  It even has a link that allows you to see books recommended by PBS.  These two sites can be very useful for educators.
