There once
was a dog named Jake. He was white
with brown ears. Jake was a very friendly dog that loved to play.
Jake desperately wanted a
home. He had been living in an animal shelter all his life, and he
often wondered what the outside world was like.
One day, a little boy
named Clay and his family walked into the shelter. At first sight, Jake
knew this was the family he wanted. Clay ran from cage to cage looking
for the perfect dog. Jake jumped on the cage door and continuously
barked. When Clay got to Jake's cage he began to pet him. He turned to
his mom and dad and yelled, "This is the one I want! He's perfect!"
Clay got Jake that day and carried him home.
When Jake arrived at the
house, it was a dream come true. The house was big, and it had a huge
yard with a pond. Jake and Clay played that day, and every day that
followed. Jake had finally found a home.
