Welcome to the Farm Full of Education
Designed by Ivy Inman

Howdy Ya'll!  My name is Ivy Inman, and I am from Albany, Georgia.  I am a junior at Valdosta State University majoring in Early Childhood Education in the Early Chilhood and Special Education Department.  I hope to one day teach Kindergarten.  I attended Deerfield Windsor School during my elementary and high school years and graduated in May of 2008.  I have enjoyed Valdosta State University and have made some very memorable experiences.

I would be lost in this world without my family!  They are by far the most important people in my life.  I am from a small family of four.  I have one set of grandparents, who I am very close to.  I have one older brother, John Inman, who also attends Valdosta State University.  He graduates this December in hopes to go to Medical School at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  My dad is an OBGYN and works at OBGYN Associates of Albany.  My mom is now a stay at home mother; she used to be a Special Education teacher at a local school in Albany, Georgia.

Friends are also very important to me.  I have some of the best friends that anyone could ask for.  They stick with me through thick and thin and always keep me busy.  When I am with them, there is never a dull moment!  One of my favorite quotes is, "We all let people into our lives but you will find that really good friends let you into your own."  I find this quote to be so true with these girls.

I am a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at Valdosta State University.  Our motto is "We live for each other."  Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald founded my sorority in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia.  It was the first sorority ever established.  Alpha Delta Pi has been committed to the Ronald McDonald House since 1979, giving over two million dollars to this wonderful, worthwhile charity.  The Ronald McDonald House is an organization that gives homes to sick children in need; no child is ever turned away.

Over the years, I have found some very helpful and educational websites.  One of my favorites, in particular, is called Education World.  It has many things that can help teachers, from lesson plans to dealing with issues in education.  Another interesting website is called Kids Know It, this website leads you to other fun activities that can be used for teaching.
