The Wall is an emotional story of a
father and son who travel to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in
Washington, DC. They make this trip to find the name of the
grandfather the boy has never met.
In the story the son talks
about how he has never met his grandfather. He also describes the
many things that he sees as he looks around the monument. As he looks
around he sees a man in a wheelchair with no legs. He makes the
connection that the man probably lost his legs in the same war that his
grandfather died in.
The story is a heart-warming
story of the father and son moment that the two share remembering their
father and grandfather that they lost in the tragic war.
