Today
let's imagine that you are going on a field trip to the fire
department. You will need to learn as much as possible, because you will
discuss your information on fire safety with me for your news article.
The
firefighters are very excited and have a wonderful activitiy planned
for all of you. After touring the fire department, the firefighters
are going to ask you the steps that you would take to prevent a
fire and to act out what you would do if you were caught in a fire. You
learned from the Survive Alive
website how to
escape a burning house. Everyone will be able to explain fire saftey
and perform the steps asked from the firefighters. You are going
to have a great time as you explore the fire department and demonstrate
the things that you have learned. Once you arrive back at school, be
sure to discuss your information on fire safety with me so I can write
the article for the school paper. Last, you will draw a picture
of what you demonstrated for the firefighters.
