DIVE INTO MATH with MRS. RABEL

Hi, My name is
Mrs. Rabel and I co-teach 8th grade Math at Campbell Middle School.
Approximately 1,014 students attend Campbell Middle School. At
Campbell, students enjoy participating in activities that help the
community such as Relay for life and Pennies for Patients.
Campbell Middle, home of the Spartans, is located in Smyrna,
Georgia. Although Smyrna is a fully developed city now, it's
first brick building was built in 18501. Smyrna is
also known for it's many parks and the Jonquil

I recently moved from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I like living in Georgia, but I do miss living 15 minutes away from the beach. My husband, Bill, and I would go to the beach almost every weekend. We also enjoyed going to the beaches of the Bahamas and swimming in the crystal clear water. I also enjoy working out and cooking. I usually find really good recipes on Food Network's website.
This year in 8th Grade Math I look forward to teaching new and interesting information. In class we will be using technology resources such as the Quizdom interactive student response kits. We will also use a fun math site called Quia. It has individual and class math games. Students will also watch math related webcasts sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education. If students need additional help in math, after school tutoring will be provided by the LEAP program.
