My name is Katy Cullens and I am a junior at Valdosta State University.  I am currently working on a degree in the Interrelated Special Education/Early Childhood Program.   I have been at VSU since Fall 2002 and I love it.  I am an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority and I hold several positions including Gracious Living, Corresponding Secretary,  and the Junior member on Standards Board.

Gerbera daisies are my favorite flower.  I love how they bloom into such big bursts of color and sunshine.  Whenever I have the chance I bring some home to brighten the house.  I also enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, Aaron, my family, and other friends.  I recently brought my cat,  Rocky, down here to Valdosta from back home.  He has finally gotten adjusted and I really like the sense of home he brings to my house.  Back in Dunwoody, I have my mom and dad, two older brothers named Rusty and Bo, a sister in law, and a little dachsund named JW.  I love going home when I have time to visit everyone even though the weekend is always too short.  When I don't have time to make it all the way  home, I drive to my home away from home at Fernandina Beach.  We have a family owned condo on Amelia Island called The Captain's House that we have had for 17 years.  The Captain's House is my favorite place in the world!  Whether I am in the water, laying on the beach, looking for sharks teeth and shells, or shopping around in the old town, I cannot imagine anywhere else I would rather be!
