1. The table on page 105 gives a list of six "Formats for Instruction."  List the six formats of instruction, how each format is formed, and if you looked into a classroom, tell how each format of instruction would look (explain what the students and the teacher are doing).

2. The table on page 116 gives a list of seven skills of "How Effective Managers Maintain Activity Flow" by Kounin.  List each of the seven skills and give an example of each skill.

In the passion of the civil rights campaigns of 1964 and 1965, Jonathan Kozol moved from Harvard Square into a poor black neighborhood of Boston and became a fourth grade teacher in the Boston public schools.
