ECSE 3220 Group Project
and PowerPoint Presentation Assignment
(General Information for All
Groups and Group Members)
The group project and PowerPoint
presentation assignment will be developed using the
Georgia Curriculum Standards for first, second, or
third grades. All members
of the group will develop and present their group
project to the class. Since
there will be several group presentations, each group
will present for about 15 minutes. Group projects will be
presented on exam day.
The group project will be based on
a provided scenario of a class with a different class
scenario for each group. The
class scenario will identify a grade level; content
area; (the
class includes three different students)
a diverse student; a student with special needs; and a
student with a problem behavior.
Each member of the group will have
an individual topic assignment to provide the
information to develop for their group project. See below the individual
topic assignments listed for members 1-5. Each member of the group
will develop an individual topic assignment paper, a
Word document, to be turned in as hard copy on the due date for
individual reports.
This group project
assignment will include two grades of 100% each, one
grade for the individual topic assignment and one
grade for the group presentation (total possible
grade of 200%). The
individual topic assignment grade will be earned by
each individual member of the group for their
individual topic assignment paper.
The group presentation grade will be earned by
the entire group and each member of the group will
receive the group grade.
When working in groups, it is
important for all members of the group to contribute
to the group's assignment and presentation. I will ask all members of
the group to give an evaluation of the contribution of
the other members in their group.
