ECSE 3210
Group Project
and PowerPoint Presentation Assignment
(General
Information
for All Groups and Group Members)
The group project and PowerPoint
presentation assignment will
be developed using the Georgia Curriculum Standards for
pre-kindergarten or
kindergarten. All members of the group
will develop and present their group project to the class.
Since there will be several group
presentations, each group will present for 15-20 minutes (since there are 5 members
in each
group then each group member will have 3-4 minutes for their
presentation). Group projects will
be presented on exam day,
Dec. 8.
The group project will be based on a
provided scenario of a
class with a different class scenario for each group.
The class scenario will identify a grade level;
content area; a diverse student; a student with special needs; and a
student
with a problem behavior.
Each group member will have an individual
topic assignment
to provide the information to develop for their group project. See below the individual topic assignments
listed for group members 1-5. Each group
member will develop an individual topic assignment paper, a Word
document, to
be turned in as hard copy on presentation day.
This group project
assignment will include two grades of 100% each, one grade for the
individual topic
assignment and one grade for the group presentation (total possible
grade of
200%). The individual topic assignment
grade will be earned by each individual member of the group for their
individual
topic assignment paper. The group
presentation
grade will be earned by the entire group and each member of the group
will
receive the group grade.
When working in groups, it is important for
all group
members to contribute to the group's assignment and product. I will ask all group members to give an
evaluation of the contribution of the other members in their group.
