THE VSU TROMBONE CHOIR

The Trombone Choir at VSU performs each fall and spring. The group also has performed "live" on local television for the NBC affiliate on channel 10, and twice as a performance clinic group at the Georgia Music Educator's State Convention.  Come hear our spring concert with the VSU Percussion Ensemble!

The VSU Trombone Choir is offered as a course each spring.  The course number is MUSC 3890 section T, and it is open to any VSU student on campus with permission of Dr. Farwell.  The course is designed as a direct supplement to applied trombone study.  Because of the chamber nature of the group and the highly idiomatic writing used in successful trombone ensemble literature, this ensemble provides the trombone student with some of the most challenging performance situations from a variety of technical and musical perspectives.
