BRENT’S BASEBALL WORLD FOR KIDS
Developed By: Brent Lewis

My name is Brent Lewis. I am currently attending Valdosta State University as a junior. I was fortunate enough to be allowed into the cohort between Valdosta State and South Georgia College in the Spring of 2004. I plan to graduate with my bachelor’s degree in the Spring of 2006. I now am attempting to get my degree through the Early Childhood and Reading Education Department at Valdosta State.

I am married and have two boys, 5 & 2, and as you probably guessed I am obsessed with baseball. I suffered a brain stem injury in August of 2001 ending my playing of any sport. I was in the hospital for 3 months and could not swallow well enough to eat, so I was fed through a tube. Also, my walking was complicated due to my decrease in motor skills. I progressed from a wheelchair, to a walker, a cane, to my current status of being able to walk again. I am very blessed and vowed to spend as much time with my boys as possible. They love baseball too. My oldest boy, Triston, plays Tee Ball and I coach his team. I cherish the moments we share at the ballfield.
Maybe one day he'll be playing here.

I have lived in many places. I now live in Hazlehurst, GA and love it. Hazlehurst is a small town but all my family lives there. They are close to my kids and my kids love them. To me, Hazlehurst is the ideal place to raise a family and have a simple, quiet life.
