Welcome, my name is Charity Morrison and I am currently attending Valdosta State University. I am a junior and in my first year of the Early Childhood Education program. I am very enthusiastic and passionate about children. This passion led me to the teaching profession. I plan to graduate in 2010 with my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. I hope that through my career I will be able to touch many childrens lives. I also want to be a good role model for the children in today's society. With Education being a difficult profession that requires a true gift, it requires someone who truly cares about the students well-being and learning experience. I cannot wait to be in a classroom full-time!!

Let me breify descirbe myself. I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I am married to my wonderful husband Michael. He is in the United States Airforce and we relocated to Valdosta about two years ago. Being an Airforce wife has made the military a large part of my life. I really enjoy learning about my husband's career. Moody AFB has alot to offer military families that move here. Besides being an airforce wife I am also a huge sports fan. The San Diego Chargers are my hometown favorite football team. I'm also a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. I really enjoy attending sporting venues. I also love to travel. I love children, and that is way my current job is wonderful. I work at Brookfield Academy and it a been a great experience.

There are a few internet sites that can really assits in children's learning. First is PBS, they have a variety of resources for parents on PBS Parents as well as educators on PBS Teachers. This source is a great way to find fun and inovative ways to encourage learning. Another great opportunity for Georgia residents is GPEE, which is Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education. This site provides important information on the current issues in education as well as it serves as a great research tool.
