An elephant's trunk is filled with hundreds of thousands of
muscles.
An elephant can use its trunk to pick up a dime and even pull down a
tree.
Have you ever seen an elephant? You may have seen an elephant at
the
circus, and you may have even been on an elephant ride. Elephants
are
amazing animals, come with me and let's go on an elephant exploration!

to see lots of pictures of elephants. Just click on any of the
words
and you can meet all the elephants at The Elephant Sanctuary. |

like to learn some fun facts, watch videos, and hear the sounds the

To hear

You'll discover there are two species of elephants, the African and
Indian Elephant. You can even find out how fast the elephant

| Mission
Project You
have been chosen to go on an African Safari to help identify the
African elephant. The scientists in Africa need your
help! Before you leave for your trip, you have to
explore the website Creature Feature so you can gather information
about the African elephant. Once you have learned what the
elephant looks like, you must draw a picture for the scientists so that
when they come upon the largest living land animal, they will know it
is an elephant.

2. Gather information to identify the elephant. 3. Draw a picture of the elephant with all the characteristics you have learned about from the website. Give a description of your picture to the teacher so she can include it with your wonderful drawing. 4. Hand in your picture to the teacher so that she can publish it on the internet. |
