This story is about a little kitty that is confused about the "purr" sound that she makes.  She wonders around a farm asking all the animals (dog, chicken, sheep, pig and cow) whether they took her "purr".  After she makes her rounds around the farm, she is exhausted and told to go ask her mother about her purr.  The little kitty goes to her mother and her mother tells her that no one took her purr and that it has been with her all the time.  At that point, the barn yard is quiet and the little kitty cuddles with her mother and the barnyard animals hear the most beautiful purr they have ever heard.
