Welcome to my world! My name is Carnesha McDonald and I am a twenty-one year old junior at Valdosta State University. I am from Stone Mountain, Georgia and the oldest of  three.  I  love children and am really excited about being an Early Childhood Education Major in the Early Childhood and Special Education Department! My expected date of graduation is Spring 2009! As you can see, I absolutely LOVE  Disney movies, Aladdin being my favorite! They are the most entertaining movies ever made!
Genie in the Sun

During my spare time, I enjoy listening to music ,watching a good movie, and of course, being around the smiling faces of children! One of my favorite hobbies is to SHOP!  I guess you could consider me a Shop-O-Holic! My favorite stores to shop at are Ralph Lauren Polo and  Old Navy! I feel like you can never have too many clothes! When I am not in school or at work, I love to travel! On of my favorite places to travel is to Jacksonville, Florida. I always go to the beaches.  I love the way the sand feels between my toes!  Another place I like to visit is my hometown, Stone Mountain, Georgia because of  the main attraction! It is fun yet educational at the same time.

As a future educator, I am expecting my life to be extremely busy! Here are two websites that may make my life as well as my future students and parents lives easier. The Scholastic website benefits the students by offering core subject activities as well as activities by grade level. This is a great way for students and parents to work on activities that may have been a little difficult for them in the classroom. As for teachers, this site offers lesson plans, strategies, and my favorite, tips for new teachers!  Another site I really enjoy is Sites for Teachers. This site is a great starting point for finding educational activities and lesson plans. Both sites will prove extremely helpful now as well as in the near future!
