My Name is Brittany Broughton. I grew up in the Atlanta area all my life. I am a junior here at Valdosta State University and I am currently getting my degree in Early Childhood Education. After I graduate I would like to teach a few years before obtaining my masters. I have worked with children in a variety of ways but the most enjoyable is when I taught swim lessons and coached the six and unders on the swim team. I am excited to be a teacher and I can think of nothing else I would rather do with my life.

I am an Atlanta girl and have been here my whole life. I was however born in Germany because my parents were in the military. I grew up with the love of clothes and fashion. I have been lucky enough to be involved on the fashion industry and believe I will always have a passion for it. In high school  I  threw myself in a variety of sports including, track , cross country, basketball, and swimming. I have always enjoyed the physical activity and believe it is important to make an effort to be healthy. I have always been extremely involved. In high school I was in almost every club and enjoyed the fact that I had a large interaction with others. In college I made the best decision of my life and joined Phi Mu. I have held many leadership roles and have been given the most wonderful opportunities. I have come to know and love all my sisters, each one in a different way. It is such an amazing group of girls that have such a strong bond. I will miss this most when I graduate.
I have been very lucky and have traveled to a number of wonderful places. This past Christmas my family and I went to
New York City for Christmas. It was one of the most beautiful places that I have seen and enjoyed my time in the big city.

Educational Activities Website for Student Teaching

I know it is important for teachers to work together and share information with one another. Some websites that would help teachers with lesson plans would be Funding Factory. It has a number of different lessons to help teachers with a variety of different content areas. It is organized in a number of ways so it is easy to find just what you need. Another great website that I think children and teachers would really enjoy would be Fun Brain. It is a website that has educational games that children can play in subject matters such as math and reading. It is a great way to get kids interacting on the computer and still learning subject matters.
