In this website students have the opportunity to learn about volcanoes, plate tectonics, and the ring of fire from visually animated pictures. Students will also be able to build their own volcanoes by learning about viscosity and gas and then adjusting those two elements to make your volcano erupt.

This website has all the information that you will need to make your own real life volcano. The website gives you a list of directions and materials that you will need to make your volcano erupt. This is a great idea for a class project or just for fun at home.

Volcano World is website with a pile of cool information about volcanoes. Volcano World has all kinds of cool pictures of volcano eruptions and it also has a watch on volcanoes, monitoring when there next eruption might be.

This website is great for beginners and even experts who are wanting to learn how, why, when volcanoes erupt. The USGS website gives you step by step instruction on how volcanoes formed and erupt, why they erupt, and factors that determine when they may erupt in the future.

Volcanic Eruptions is a website that shows the structures and different types of volcanoes. It also shows the small elements that cause volcanoes to erupt and talks about rock fragments that form after an eruption.

Click on build your own volcano and watch it erupt.
Look at the two different categories, viscosity and gas, and see how they determine how a volcano erupts.
Adjust each category, make notes of what cause the eruption, and determine how viscosity and gas are directly related a volcano erupting.
