The Little
Mermaid is a story about a mermaid named Ariel that wanted to become a
human. She was very curious about human things she found on the
bottom of the sea so she would go to the surface and let her sea gull
friend, Scuttle, tell her all about them. One day when Ariel went
to the surface she saw a sailor named Prince Eric and it was love at
first sight.
Ariel's dad, King Triton, found out Ariel had been
to the surface again and out of anger he destroyed all her human
belongings leaving Ariel crying. Ursula, the Sea Witch, saw Ariel
crying and decided to make a deal with her. She was going to turn
Ariel into a human for three days, but the price was her voice.
The deal was sealed and Ariel was on her way to find the handsome
Prince she was in love with.
Prince Eric saw Ariel on the beach and took her back
to his palace. Over the next few days Prince Eric grew to like
Ariel more and more. The next day Ariel found out he was going to
marry another young maiden and she got very upset. The one thing
Ariel didn't know was that the Prince was under a spell and the young
maiden was Ursula, the Sea Witch, in disguise.
Ariel's friend Scuttle stalled the wedding and got
Ariel's voice back for her. When Eric realized it was her that
could sing so beautifully he went to kiss her, but it was too late and
Ariel was turned back into a mermaid. Prince Eric went to save
Ariel from the Sea Witch and he killed her with his boat. Once
King Triton realized how much Ariel loved this prince he turned her
back into a human. Ariel and the Prince got married that
day and lived happily ever after.
