Words from a Former VSU Student

David Cannon, a former VSU engineering studies student who received his B.S.
and M.S. degrees from Mechanical Engineering at Tech has said the following
about the VSU engineering program and his experience transferring from VSU
to Tech:

"Going to small school my first two years made
a lot difference. At Valdosta State
the classes in the engineering program were very small, which meant that the
professors knew each student and took an active interest in the students’ education.
There was enough time for a professor to find out if each student understood the
subject matter or needed help. One great advantage of the program for me was
that I lived at home and saved money. When I came to Tech, my biggest adjustment
was getting over the preconception that Tech is so hard; it really isn’t.”
