My name is Amy Cichon, and I have lived in Georgia since I was eight years old.  I grew up in Jeff Davis County and graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 2007.  I love children, and have known I wanted to be a teacher for a very long time.  I currently attend Valdosta State University, as an Early Childhood and Special Education major.
I have had experience in a kindergarten classroom, and I absolutely loved it.  I would love to teach somewhere close to home after I graduate.  Children are so special and I want to become that teacher, they remember forever.

I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and lived there for almost eight years.  My whole family lives in Missouri, and even though we live so far apart, we are very close.  Missouri is a great place to visit.  One of the main tourists attractions is The Arch.  The whole city can be seen from The Arch, especially at night. My mother and I visit every year for Christmas and throughout the year when we can.  My family is the very most important thing to me.  I have three brothers and all three of them have two children.  I love being an aunt.  I have three nieces and three nephews ranging from two years old to seven years old.  They give me many ideas about why I want to be an early childhood educator.  My Stepfather and my Mother own a horse auction in Jeff Davis County, Circle SS Auction.  It is the longest running horse auction in the south.  When I was little girl, I had several different horses.  I was very lucky.  My family also has a dog kennel, Bad Ace Kennels.  My mother has been showing and raising dogs for several years.  My family is a big part of my life and I am glad I have had them to support me in being a future educator.

There are so many wonderful activities on the web for teachers and students to enjoy.  A great website for teachers is  This website will help with more than just lesson plan.  This website is very useful for teachers with uncommon and common questions.  It has ideas for holiday activities, how to integrate technology into lessons and it even shows other links to teacher related websites.  Another good website for students or teacher use is Kids.Gov.  This site produces good test taking skills, educational games, how to learn the presidents and basic skills needed to learn in different subjects.  Another good feature about this website is it based around all age groups.  There are activities for kindergarten through twelfth grade, which is is great teachers who teach multiple grades and subjects.
