Getting the Rhythm to Education
Designed By: Autumn Overstreet

My name is Autumn Miller Overstreet.  I am origially from Donalsonville, GA.  I now live in Hahira, GA.  I graduated from Seminole County High School in 1999.  I am currently a student at Valdosta State University and am majoring in the Early Childhood and Special Education DepartmentI have been married since October of 2007.  My husband, Glenn, attends Valdosta Technical College, and he is part of the Environmental Horticulture program there.  We have two cats, Gracey and Gradey who are very active and keep us active when we are not consumed by school work.

All throughout my years in junior high and high school, I was very active in the choral program where I was able to compete in many competitions. The biggest competition that I was a part of was the Georgia High School Association Literary Program.  I was part of the Literary Trio for one year and I was the Literary Girl's Soloist for four years straight.  After finishing high school, I was a choir director for several years.  During this time, the choir members suggested that I make a CD.  So I did.  I put a a few traditional songs on there as well as a few up tempo songs. Please feel free to email me for a copy!

There are several websites that I've found that can be very useful to find information needed in a classroom.  Two of them that I will be using quite a bit are, Georgia Standards for GPS and QCC standards K-5+, and the other is Bright From the Start for Pre-K.  They have all of the standards for elementary lesson plans as well as Pre-K and plenty of activity ideas and resources to go along with them.
