Welcome to my web page!  My name is Mandy Moore.  I was born in Ft. McPherson, Georgia.  My dad was in the military, causing my family to move a lot.  I have lived in four different states and have lived the longest in Georgia.  I lived in Milledgeville, Georgia, before moving to Valdosta to start college. I am currently a senior at Valdosta State University majoring in Early Childhood Education.  I have always had a strong passion for teaching and I look forward to becoming a teacher and having a positive impact on numerous children.

From as far back as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a teacher.  When I was younger, I played school with my dolls and stuffed animals.  I even had my own roll book.  I have had much encouragement from my family in pursuing a teaching career.  My family consists of about fifteen people who are or were at one time teachers.  I would love to teach second or third grade, but all I really want to do is make a difference children's life.  Several teachers have positively impacted my life, and I hope to one day do the same to my students.

Besides children, I love to knit.  My grandmother and mother taught me to knit the Christmas of my senior year in high schoo, and I have not stopped knitting since.  I love to find new patterns and even make patterns of my own.  I just finished knitting my biggest project: an afghan.  It was such a big accomplishment to finally be finished with it.
