Cooking Up Classroom Success with Chef Tucker!

Hello and welcome to "Cooking Up Classroom Success!" I'm your host, Chef Ashley Tucker. I want to make you feel right at home, so here is a little info. about yours truly. I am attending Valdosta State University where I am currently sharpening my skills for mastery in the arts of culinary classroom creations. More specifically, my training takes place under the supervision of highly trained professors from the Interrelated Special Education / Early Childhood Education department.
On today's menu, we have some of my most favorite delicacies. My best and worst times are spent in the kitchen. I like to think of the kitchen as a science lab, and I am the scientist. Cooking is an experiment, you pick the ingredients and create something new. My favorite chef would have to be Racheal Ray. She makes quick 30-minute meals that are easy to cook. Some of my other hobbies include: reading books, fishing, and spending time with my family.

I started out in a small town called Fitzgerald, GA. My town is especially neat because we have wild chickens roaming our town. I am married and expecting another member of the family in June. I graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 2004. After high school, I attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College where I received my Associates Degree.

During some research, I have found some interesting websites for teachers, that I have found to be helpful. The Education Hound website, has great ideas about lesson plans and also great sources for any grade level. Another helpful website is Education World. This site has similar resources but also has information concerning different issues, such as school issues or professional issues.
