BUDDY SYSTEM -- Meet Current International Students at VSU

 International Students Night at Hildegard's

On October 9th, 2005 international students gathered at Hildegard's, a downtown coffee and tea lounge, to relax and to enjoy a cup of coffee served with a talent of their fellow students. The event started out as a regular international students meeting and eventually grew into a small and cozy performance night that included poems, songs, a dance and much more. SIS officers and CIP faculty members were delighted to have plenty of American student participants alongside with internationals. The event was a great opportunity for SIS to increase awareness of other cultures and to promote diversity within the Valdosta Community.

Maral Mukhammedova (Turkmenistan), CIP Graduate Assistant, greeted the guests and participants of the International Students Night at Hildegard's and Caio Avelino (Brazil), the President of SIS, introduced newly elected SIS officers and spoke about the International Society and its activities.
